Day Two In The Music City

Apr 5, 2014, 8:33 AM EDT

Gary Paczesny is a member of the Notre Dame women’s basketball travel party that will be writing a daily blog about traveling to the Women’s Final Four in Nashville, Tenn.

The first full day for the Irish began with a few players, along with Coach McGraw heading over to Bridgestone Arena, site of the Final Four to speak with members of the ESPN broadcast teams, tape elements for the commercial teases, interviews for feature stories and radio interviews.

Bridgestone Arena is home to the Nashville Predators, which opened in 1996 with hopes of attracting an NHL franchise to the Music City.

Following the two hours of interviews, the group of players joined the remainder of the team at Belmont University (Curb Event Center) for a two-hour practice.

The night saw the Irish head down to dinner at the famed Country Music Hall of Fame and the NCAA Women’s Final Four Salute: The Salute was held at the famous Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ole Opry House from 1943-1974

The Fighting Irish will return to Bridgestone Arena tomorrow for press conferences and a practice open to the public.
